I'm a practicing photographer, and a film and costume design student. I also dabble (sort of) in photo-editing and am working on bettering my photo-manipulation skills beyond basic photo touch-ups 'n' what-not.
If you live in the Los Angeles area, I recently started a group on Meetup.com called Alt+3rR0r LA. It is dedicated to Alternative Modeling, Conceptual, and Themed photography.
I am interested in working with models of all shapes, sizes, and looks and am also interested in collaborating with other photographers.

I've been a lot more diligent in up-dating my DA account...
I have so many photos... I often can't help but put it off.
So much awesomeness has happened in the past couple of weeks though...
I landed a couple of gigs shooting some local fashion shows. One is this Thursday... I'm so excited! I'm gonna be the main photog, so I get the best spot at the end of the runway. (The first show I shot, my spot wasn't so good and I was having issues with lighting and my flash. >_

After 7+ years of shooting with a 35mm SLR, I'm finally joining the Digital Photography Age (NOT including those people who use their point-and-clicks to death, then call it "photography") and upgrading to a Canon D20 SLR. w00t!
Now, don't get me wrong... I LOVE shooting with film. Getting a roll developed is better than opening a present on Christmas to me... Not to mention, when done right, contrast and grain look much better when done with film than when added with Photoshop, IMO.
But, DAMN, does it get expensive. And I HATE running out of film. >_< It's like, no matter how many rolls I buy, the go SO FAST. And then the more rolls I use,

I'm excited. ^_^
The pink wig I ordered for the costume came in the mail today... It's so fancy! I'm gonna try to curl it a bit later. Shouldn't be a problem since it's made of kanekalon. All I need is curlers and steaming pot of water.
I start working on the costume tomorrow and, Wednesday, I gotta run to Hollywood and get some cobwebs. I might need to buy more fake blood, too. Hmm... :-/
This past Sunday I had a "Fallen Angel" shoot that was very successful.
I got a lot of great pictures, and the best ones ended up being the ones I took with my 35mm.

Rosedale Cemetery huh! Do they let you shoot there now? What did you have to do get permission?
PS: If you try calling Rosedale, no one will answer... No one EVER answers.
As long as you aren't horribly obvious (i.e. a big-ass reflector & tripod), they are fine with shooting. It's the same with Evergreen Cemetery down town... All both cemetery's ask is that if there happens to be a funeral going on, shoot away from it.
Also, it's best to go uber early in the morning, 'cause no one is there except workers & joggers. And both are so friggin big, you can go to the opposite end of the place and no one will bother you.
